I wish to be considered as a candidate for an Alternate Board Member position for Region 4 of the Commonwealth Prevention Alliance. I have been a prevention specialist for 13 years in Indiana and Armstrong counties. And have a variety of experiences and knowledge in both community and school based prevention. I obtained my CPS certification in April 1995 and continue to keep it current.

I am a past CPA Board member, having been first elected in 1995 and served for six years. During that time, I was an active member of the Conference Committee and acted as Conference Coordinator for four years, from 1997 through 2000. I have also served in the capacity of Region 4 Coordinator from 1995 to the present time. I participated in the Strategic Planning sessions conducted in the Fall of 2001, and am chairperson for the newly formed Communication, Networking, & Technology (CNT) Committee.

I believe that CPA is an extremely vital prevention organization in Pennsylvania and I'm committed to its mission. Even though I prefer to only serve as an alternate board member, I intend to continue attending as many regular Board meetings as possible throughout the year.
