Recovery Advocacy Day, set for September 26th, encourages advocates to visit with their state legislators to discuss the importance of providing support and funding to those impacted by the opioid crisis. Please join advocates at the Pennsylvania State Capitol to speak with your elected officials between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. to share your story. At 2 p.m. participants are invited to attend a media event in the main rotunda with remarks from elected officials and people in recovery
The organizers are working together to provide education and outreach about the importance of getting everyone involved to fight back against the opioid epidemic. It’s critical that we highlight a positive aspect of substance use disorder – that recovery is possible, and many people recover to live positive, fulfilling lives.
